OGSure may give eligible travellers over 75 a choice between single-trip and annual multi-trip cover.
Single-trip cover is usually best if you are planning one holiday, cruise, family visit or longer break.
Annual multi-trip cover may be more convenient if you expect to travel more than once during the year, provided you are still within the age limit and each trip meets the policy terms.
Once you have reached age 80, annual multi-trip cover is not available, so single-trip cover is usually the relevant option instead.
Longer trips and travel over 75
If you are over 75, OGSure limits annual multi-trip cover to a maximum of 60 days per trip.
That means this cover may still work well for many holidays, cruises, family visits, and extended breaks, but it may not be suitable for longer journeys beyond that limit.
The aim is to make that clearer upfront, so you can check whether the policy fits your plans before you buy, rather than discovering it later when things get awkward.
Cruises, holidays, and later-life travel
Travel over 75 is not one thing.
Some people want a simple week away. Others want a cruise, a longer stay with family, or a properly well-earned holiday.
OGSure is designed to support that reality.
Our policy includes cruise ship evacuation cover, subject to the policy wording, and can work well for senior and family travel where you want clearer cover and easier support if something goes wrong.

Pre-existing medical conditions and travel insurance for over 75s
This is one of the biggest questions people have about travel insurance for over 75s, and rightly so.
You can still buy OGSure if you have a pre-existing medical condition, but claims arising directly or indirectly from a pre-existing medical condition are excluded.
The definition is broad and includes treatment, medication, advice, or diagnosis in the previous five years, as well as known or foreseeable conditions.
That means OGSure can still be useful for many travellers, but it is important to understand what is and is not covered before you buy.
For a plain-English explanation, visit our Pre-Existing Medical Conditions page.Where can over 75s travel with OGSure?
That depends on two things:
- your country of residence
- your destination
Your country of residence is usually the country where you normally live or work for more than three consecutive months.
Your destination matters too, because travel insurance is arranged within geographical limits and policy terms.
To check both, use our Where We Cover page. What happens if something goes wrong?

In serious cases involving hospitalisation, inpatient treatment, MRI or CT scans, medical evacuation, or repatriation, the emergency assistance team must be contacted as soon as possible.
