HELP WHEN IT MATTERS

Support if something serious happens abroad.

OGSure’s 24/7 Emergency Assistance Centre is available to support you with serious medical situations abroad.

Your medical history does not have to stop you travelling.

Having a pre-existing medical condition does not automatically prevent you from buying an OGSure policy.

You can still be covered for eligible sudden and unforeseen events that are unrelated to your existing condition, such as:

New illness or injury
Cancellation or curtailment
Baggage loss or theft
Travel delay or abandonment
Missed departure or connection
Public liability

These benefits may still apply when the event or claim is unrelated to a pre-existing medical condition. Policy terms, limits, conditions, exclusions and excesses apply.

Claims arising directly or indirectly from a pre-existing medical condition are excluded, so it is important to understand how this may affect your cover before you buy.

Frequently asked questions about 90-day seniors travel insurance

Clear answers about age limits, three-month trips and getting OGSure cover for a journey of up to 90 days.

Can seniors get travel insurance for 90 days?

Potentially, yes.

Eligible senior travellers aged 65 to 75 may be able to cover a journey of up to 90 days through OGSure Annual Multi-Trip insurance.

Your residence, destinations, travel dates and other policy requirements must also be eligible.

Can I get 90-day travel insurance if I am over 65?

Potentially, yes.

If you're aged 65 to 75, an eligible Annual Multi-Trip journey can last for up to 90 days.

Once you're over 75, the maximum eligible trip length reduces to 60 days.

Can I get 90-day travel insurance if I am over 70?

Yes, potentially.

Eligible travellers aged 70 to 75 may still be able to take an Annual Multi-Trip journey of up to 90 days.

Can a 75-year-old get travel insurance for 90 days?

Potentially, yes.

The 60-day restriction applies once the traveller is over 75. An eligible traveller who is aged exactly 75 may therefore still be able to take a trip of up to 90 days.

Can I get 90-day travel insurance if I am aged 76 to 79?

No. Once you're over 75, each eligible Annual Multi-Trip journey is limited to a maximum of 60 days.

Travellers aged 76 to 79 may still qualify for Annual Multi-Trip cover, but not for a planned 90-day journey.

Can I get 90-day travel insurance if I am over 80?

No, not under OGSure's current options.

Annual Multi-Trip cover is not available once you have reached age 80. Eligible travellers aged 80 to 84 may still be able to buy Single Trip cover, but the current Single Trip option is limited to 30 days.

Does OGSure offer a 90-day Single Trip policy?

No. OGSure's current Single Trip option covers one continuous journey of up to 30 days.

An eligible 90-day journey therefore requires Annual Multi-Trip cover.

Why do I need Annual Multi-Trip insurance for one 90-day holiday?

Because OGSure's current Single Trip option is limited to journeys of up to 30 days.

Annual Multi-Trip provides the longer per-trip duration needed for an eligible 90-day journey, even if that longer holiday is the main trip you're planning.

Do I have to take several holidays if I buy Annual Multi-Trip cover for a 90-day trip?

No.

Annual Multi-Trip allows multiple eligible journeys during the 12-month policy period, but you do not have to take several trips simply because you're using it to cover one eligible longer holiday.

Is the 90-day limit per trip or for the whole year?

The 90-day limit applies to each eligible trip for travellers aged 75 or younger.

Annual Multi-Trip can cover multiple eligible journeys during the 12-month policy period, with each journey subject to the relevant trip-length rules.

Is 90 days the same as three calendar months?

Not necessarily.

Three calendar months can contain more or fewer than 90 days depending on the dates involved. OGSure uses a trip-duration limit, so enter your exact departure and return dates when requesting a quote.

Do my departure and return days count towards the 90-day trip?

Yes. Your insured trip runs from when you leave your home until you return home.

Your travel days therefore form part of the complete journey and should be included when checking whether your trip fits within the permitted duration.

Does my 90-day trip have to fit inside the 12-month annual policy period?

Yes.

An Annual Multi-Trip journey must begin and end within the 12-month period shown on your policy. Check your policy start and end dates carefully when arranging a longer holiday.

Can I insure only 90 days if my actual holiday lasts longer?

No.

You must arrange cover for the full number of days in your planned trip. If your planned journey exceeds the duration you've insured, cover will not apply to that trip.

What happens if an emergency prevents me from returning home before my trip limit expires?

The policy may extend an already covered trip by up to 30 days if an unexpected event beyond your control forces you to remain away longer.

This is not designed for a trip that was planned to exceed your normal limit, and the extension must be agreed with OGSure.

Can a 90-day trip include several countries?

Potentially, yes.

One continuous eligible journey can include several destinations provided they fall within the geographical cover selected and the complete itinerary meets the policy requirements.

Make sure the destinations included in your journey are declared when arranging your cover.

Can OGSure cover a 90-day cruise or cruise-and-stay holiday?

Potentially, yes.

OGSure includes Cruise Ship Evacuation, subject to the policy terms, limits and exclusions. Other eligible benefits can also apply during the cruise.

Make sure your full trip duration includes flights, hotel stays and any additional travel before or after your cruise.

Does 90-day seniors travel insurance cover emergency medical treatment and repatriation?

Yes, subject to the policy terms and exclusions.

OGSure can provide up to £6.5 million or $8 million for eligible emergency medical and related expenses abroad, with medical evacuation and repatriation included within that limit.

Can I buy 90-day OGSure cover if I have a pre-existing medical condition?

Yes. Having a pre-existing medical condition does not automatically prevent you from buying an OGSure policy.

However, claims arising directly or indirectly from a pre-existing medical condition are excluded.

Do I need a medical screening for OGSure 90-day travel insurance?

OGSure does not use a full medical screening process in its standard online quote journey.

If you make a claim, medical information may be requested to establish whether the claim is connected to a pre-existing medical condition.

If your health changes before you travel, contact OGSure before departure so it can confirm whether cover can continue.

Can I add winter sports or adventure sports cover to a 90-day trip?

Potentially, yes.

Optional Winter Sports Cover can be added to eligible policies for selected winter activities. An Adventure Sports upgrade can extend cover to selected activities such as higher-altitude trekking, mountain biking, kayaking and deeper scuba diving.

Your trip duration, activity and other policy requirements must all be met.

Does OGSure 90-day travel insurance cover cancellation?

Yes, subject to the policy terms and exclusions.

Eligible cancellation and curtailment can be covered for specified sudden and unforeseen events. Claims arising from pre-existing medical conditions, known or foreseeable circumstances and other excluded causes are not covered.

Can I get OGSure 90-day cover for the USA, Canada or several countries?

Potentially, yes.

Available cover depends on your country of residence, the geographical area selected and the destinations included in your journey.

Make sure every relevant destination falls within your policy's geographical cover.

Can I buy OGSure 90-day travel insurance if I live outside the UK?

Potentially, yes. OGSure can cover eligible residents of many countries, and your journey does not necessarily have to begin in the UK.

Your usual country of residence is generally where you normally live or work for more than three consecutive months. Your residence and destinations must also be eligible.

What should I do in a medical emergency during a 90-day trip?

Get urgent local medical help first, then contact OGSure's 24/7 Emergency Assistance Centre as soon as possible.

You must contact the assistance team for inpatient treatment, hospitalisation, MRI or CT scans, medical evacuation or repatriation.

If you're physically unable to make contact immediately, you or someone acting for you must do so within 48 hours.

How much does 90-day seniors travel insurance cost?

The price depends on factors including your age, country of residence, destinations, travel dates, policy currency and any optional extras selected.

The quickest way to see the current price and whether your 90-day journey is eligible is to complete an online quote.

When should I buy travel insurance for a 90-day holiday?

It usually makes sense to arrange travel insurance once your trip is booked and your travel dates are known.

For a longer journey, check particularly carefully that the full trip fits within your permitted duration and falls entirely within your Annual Multi-Trip policy period.
